Newly conceived for its geo-cultural context, Monsoon Australia is a two-week residency for nine dance-based interdisciplinary artists: three from Europe, three from Asia and three from Australia. After editions in Korea and Belgium, this is the fifth Monsoon platform taking place in Sydney and at Bundanon Trust in Illaroo, Australia.

This 2015-edition is initiated and facilitated by Kobalt Works in partnership with Critical Path and Bundanon Trust.

Monsoon is a curatorial project that has research, debate and inter-cultural arts practice at its heart. Monsoon explores artistic material through dramaturgical input, using a round-robin format to maximize cross-cultural engagement. The project seeks to engage Asian, Australian and European artists, as well as cultural operators and organizations with the values of serious artistic exploration in an interdisciplinary and cosmopolitan arts context.

A trailer will be available soon.
