Mirth

Mirth is a group performance closely related to Arco Renz‘  solo .states. Themes of Albert Camus essay The Myth of Sisyphus are further developed and formulated in the framework of abstract dramaturgy. Resisting, pushing and advancing with extreme vitality are physical states that the performers negotiate within constricting time-space-choreography frames.

Abstract Dramaturgy tells a story through radically focusing on the physical negotiation of individual freedom within constricting frames of time, space and movement architecture.
These are autonomous dramatic elements that the performers physically negotiate with. This negotiation process generates abstract stories of conflicts, dialogues, tensions, transformations …
