Ariane Loze studied theater direction at the RITCS in Brussels and graduated from a.pass (Advanced performance and scenography training). During this year of research, she developed a research project in which she questions the mechanisms of the medium film, dismantling film editing and narration principles. The result is a series of videos “MÔWN (Movies on my own)”. The filming of these videos has been made public as a live performance at Palais des Beaux-Arts (Center for fine Arts, Brussels), at Tanzhaus Düsseldorf, at the Vooruit Kunstencentrum, Ghent, during the Dansand!-festival 2010 (Oostende) and in Brut, Vienna for the ImageTanz festival 2011, at Nuit Blanche Brussels 2014, and in 2015 at Vidéoformes, Clermont-Ferrand, Traverse Vidéo, Toulouse, Berliner Liste Art Fair, Berlin, Crisis Festival, Paris, Hors Piste festival, Brussels.
